Pro Tools Training by David Franz
David Franz wrote the book on Pro Tools, literally. In 2000, he wrote the first book about using Pro Tools and put it into the context of producing complete radio-ready songs in Producing in the Home Studio with Pro Tools. Franz teaches those same concepts in his online courses “Producing with Pro Tools” and “Advanced Music Production with Pro Tools” at Berkleemusic.com. He’s also written the book Recording and Producing in the Home Studio and the corresponding online course “Recording and Producing in the Home Studio” where students start with a demo recording of their own and produce it into a finished mastered recording.
Franz also instructs via video at Lynda.com. He’s authored three courses already, “Pro Tools 9 Essential Training,” “Pro Tools 8 Essential Training” and “Pro Tools 8 New Features,” and is currently in production on other music production courses for Lynda.com. David has also written many articles on Pro Tools and music production for magazines such as Electronic Musician and Avid’s legacy user mag, DigiZine.
